Well, that was refreshing. And that Batman glass wins first prize.
I know it’s unAmerican, but I really hate root beer. It tastes like mouthwash. I said that to some Americans and they looked confused. I guess mouthwash doesn’t taste like root beer in America. But now I’ll think of it as Batman Juice.

Root beer in America isn’t the same since the FDA banned the root. Evidently sassafras is a carcinogen. So now all our root beer tastes weak, lacks that wonderful sassafras bite. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Root_beer
I’m wondering what root beers Ru has tried? In Australia, they brew it differently and it does taste kind of like carbonated mouthwash. Only I’ve never had mouthwash that reminded me of root beer – most U.S. mouthwash is mint flavored, Ru!
I happily carted home root beer from New Zealand because it’s still made with sassafras, AND it’s made from cane sugar – no corn syrup in sight.
My favorite root beer of all time is Boylans. Made with cane sugar, and somehow they gave it some bite. Deeeeeeelicious.
