This past Thursday I had an opportunity to go to New York with my wife. I almost didn’t go…..you see for about a month my wife had been asking me to go to New York with her. Her company was wining this award and she was able to go with the founders of her company. All we had to do was get a flight for me. Well I wasn’t sure, I mean it was only going to be for like a day and a half, my buddy had an art gallery opening on that Friday, the cost of the flight, money issues, so on and so on. Well finally I decided to go. I figured I may never have the opportunity again and maybe something like this trip would get me out of my funk I have been in most of this year.
All I can say is wow…..From airport to airport it was almost excatly 48 hours, only about 45 1/2 in New York itself but man, what a 45 1/2 hours it was. It was a blast and it was great being able to meet up with Charles from Blip and Grace from Fearless Cooking on Friday night. We stayed out waaaaay to late, we got back to the room after 2 and we had to be up at 6….but it was well worth it.
Enjoy this little slice of life and oh it’s also NaVloPoMo09 day 1. I hope to make a video a day, we will see how it goes but I am in a little NaVloPoMo game so be looking for that.

One note, Glenna says in the video “last year we went to, etc” It was 2 years ago and she went to NYC on a day trip with her girlfriends, that is what she was talking about.

@Dennis I like the zi8 a lot, great little camera…I had an issue with Sony Vegas not regonizing the audio but they (Sony) just released an update and it’s fixed now. It’s small shoots really good video, even at the SD setting…I may have to do a quick review this month..

Very cool shots, Heath. I second Dennis. I’d love a review of the camera. As a Flip Mino (SD) owner, I’m curious how real people think about the other options. Was that shot in SD or HD? And I noticed you zoomed in on the statue. I assume that was digital zoom? Nonetheless, it was actually pretty good. Thanks for sharing.
