In Memory

Today is Veteran’s Day in the U.S. This is some footage I shot while in DC a couple of years ago. I think a lot about they guys and gals serving now….I wonder after 8 years war what will they remember 20 years from now….I wonder what they have missed, the birth of their child, their first words, their first steps. I wonder about the parents, the wife’s, the sons and daughters whose father or mother is no longer coming home. I wonder…..

  • Thanks for posting this heath. It’s been a long time since I visited the Wall. I wanted to make a memorial post on Veterans’ Day and I couldn’t do it. I kept getting angry, and that wasn’t the tone I wanted. So I decided I had a different message for a different day, and I went with something unrelated. But it’s important for all of us to remember what we are currently asking this .05% of our population to do on behalf of the rest of us today, and what it costs them.
